Selcraft UK was recently given free range by our client to design and produce a commemorative badge for the 80th anniversary of the RAF Dambusters, 617 Squadron’s famous Operation Chastise bombing raid. For this exclusive commission, the badge consists of two highly detailed metal and enamel components with the design recreated from black and white archive photographs.
The badge features the famous Avro Lancaster bomber, forever synonymous with the legendary 617 squadron. Production was limited to a run of 617 to match the squadron number. Every badge reverse was individually numbered as was each accompanying certificate. All were housed within a fitted jewellery-style presentation case with personalised silver foil blocked details on the lid.
