Cufflinks are items that fasten shirt cuffs so they don’t flap open. Often an alternative to buttons (which are sewn on) cufflinks are separate, removable objects. They’re a formal hallmark, that add a level of detail to an attire. Still, they’re also functional and well-used even in this modern era.
All of the cufflinks that Selcraft UK design and produce are available with various reverse fixing options i.e. a choice about how they are affixed to a shirt’s cuff. Originally all cufflinks were “chain-links” but with mechanisation the “torpedo” fixing was developed for mass consumption. The traditional “torpedo” style fixings are still the most popular and probably the easiest to wear.
As always with a Selcraft product we can offer alternatives for our clients preference and intended purpose. Indeed, the alternatives we offer to the “torpedo” fixing are generally geared towards a more “dressy” look and a require a higher budget due to the additional labour and component costs.
Cufflinks have always been a popular product at Selcraft, whether for corporate identity or fashion they offer a functional and very visible branding opportunity
Additional touches such as branded presentation cases can further add to the perceived value and ensure the cufflinks are kept safely and readily available to wear by the recipient as and when required.
