The Midlands-based team at Selcraft UK relish a challenge and this commission was no exception!
Our mission was the reproduction of traditional beer pumps reduced to miniature, which were issued and purchased as a collectable series by real-ale aficionados.
Selcraft were able to deploy multiple skills and processes from design through to production and fulfil our client’s wishes with each item comprising and assembled with 6 expertly produced components.
Each “pump” is a totally authentic reproduction in miniature and the handle itself is produced in the same ceramic material in the Staffordshire potteries at a company that makes the real thing…
Every badge affixed to the pump is as close to the actual item used in pubs, and the brass turned parts at the base and tip are replicas too but in miniature.
The team produced 24 versions of the pumps which were available for purchase monthly over 2 years and once the collection was complete, a wooden frame was provided to house the full series.
